NEW~ Spring Ayurvedic Cook Alongs

Let’s cook together! From the comfy vantage point of your own kitchen, you’ll have a front row view into mine. I’ll be sharing my recipes and tips on how to make delicious, easy and nourishing foods to help support your whole body. One of the primary building blocks for creating a vivacious, exuberant life relies on our relationship to food; knowing our ingredients, and understanding our bodies.  Let’s play in the kitchen and explore how food can uplift your life and health!

Yoga and food are great ways to balance your whole body, especially your immune and nervous systems. I’m excited to be able to share my kitchen and immune boosting recipes with you.  I have a fun lineup of some of my favorite and foundational recipes to share with you. I’ll be using Zoom to bring you into my kitchen, and me into yours. Together we will chop, measure, stir, blend and cook up tasty and healing foods. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Cook-a-Longs last one hour and will be held bi-weekly, with two options for days and times to participate.

Carrot Ginger Dal & Sesame Carrot Hummus

Indian meets Mediterranean in this mash-up.  Dal is a nourishing traditional East Indian staple.  Hummus, you would typically find on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern menus.  In this cook-along we take creative license and make it our own. Hummus is great in wraps, sandwiches, as a dip, or dollop on your favorite steamed veggies.  Dal can be enjoyed as a soup, served alongside chicken, over rice or your other favorite whole grain.  Join the adventure!

*We will be using a CuisineArt & hand held Immersion blender.  At least one of those or a blender will also work.*

Seasonal Ayurveda and Yoga Workshop: Transitions to FALL

Fall Ayurveda cooking class and Yoga practice.
Our bodies thrive when synchronized to nature’s cycles. The arts of Ayurveda and Yoga give us road maps and practices to recalibrate our mind/body/spirit with each season. Incorporate Yoga, the wisdom of Ayurveda and local farmer’s Fall bounty!

During this workshop you will receive mini take home yoga practice based on our Fall Yoga class, Ayurveda suggestions for synching your rhythm with the season, and lunch recipes!

Body Mind Breath

Wednesday 6-7:15, July 19 – August 23rd
next session: Wedneday 6-7:15 September 11th – October 18th
On going session of viniyoga offered in 6 week blocks to balance the mind and body.  Conscious attention put towards the coordination of breath and movement.  Adaptations offered to create ease or challenge as appropriate.  All levels welcome. If you have never taken a class with me before please contact me for a brief phone chat.

Sync to Cycle, Women’s Health

This is an 6 week series designed specifically for women to smooth our alignment with our monthly cycle.  We will be utilizing weekly yoga practices in addition to lifestyle and nutrition that correspond to the shifts in the female endocrine system throughout the month.

Cost: $120  (preregistration required)
Minimum 5 – Maximum 8
-Small class size, individualized attention
-6 weeks of Yoga crafted with our cycles in mind
-core and pelvic floor focus
-Lunar Laddus, 1month supply; Lunar Laddus are nutritive mixed seed treat that naturally support our hormone fluctuations

Low Back Health

This is a 7 week progressive series suitable for all levels, with instruction in yoga poses, basic anatomy, breathing practices and relaxation to help alleviate chronic low back pain and tension.

Cost: $150 (preregistration required) return students $115
Includes: The Essential Low Back Program workbook and 5-practice CD


Upper Back, Neck and Shoulder Health

This is a 7 week progressive series suitable for all levels, with instruction in yoga poses, basic anatomy, breathing practices and relaxation to help alleviate chronic upper back, neck and shoulder pain and tension.  Take home mini practices will be provided to facilitate a home practice throughout the week!

Yoga & Ayurveda Cooking Retreat

Over the course of several collaborations, with Jodi leading her regular retreats at The Yoga Lodge and Aria nourishing the group from the kitchen, we realized the potential to give participants a deeper retreat experience with more skills to infuse into your daily life.  The food was beautiful. Every day the colors of the food complimented one another. The blend, the brilliance of color and the taste and aroma touched on every sense. I feel healthy as a result of this food.
